Hi there,

I am going in for surgery on October 31 for a balloon albation. That wipes out my chance of having kids but at least it will stop my periods I hope.

Because I went to the specialist and she saw all my questions and notes she said we have no other choice to do this since its now starting to affect my legs as well. Also my toe nails don't grow because I am losing too much blood. I am so scared having this surgery. What happens if it doesn't stop and I also have sleep aphena so what happens with all this stress on my body my body gives out. cry.

Did the dr not answer all your questions? I don't believe that anyone should make a decision to do something that they're not completely sure about! Injections aren't as invasive as surgery, but it took me a real long time and lots of research/answers to questions before I finally agreed to do it.
I can't help but feel that you're being pushed into what you really don't want to do! Not that anyone WANTS surgery!! Your emotional well being has alot to do with your recovery, so you need to be ready emotionally as well as every other way before opting to do such a serious thing as surgery.
Please take the time to get all the answers and knowledge you need, to know that you're making the right and only choice left for you! I'd hate to see you rush into this!
We're all here for you hun, and I'll research as much as I can for you! If there's anything specific that you're wanting to know and are having trouble getting answers to, please don't hesitate to ask ok? ((HUGS))

Hi there,

I have no choice but to do this surgery. This mess has been going on for at least 5 years now.

d/c november 2002
d/c november 2004
balloon- october 2005.

Plus I am taking so much time off of work because I am so tired and I don't want to embarass myself in case I leak thru my diaper/pads. cry

Thanks for caring...Petra

surgery is over, yesterday I didn't feel too bad when I got home but today my face hurts. I am not sure if they had my head tied up or what. I know they put a tube down my throat but I will be fine.

thanks for caring, it means a lot to me.

I'm so glad to hear from you girl Image You've been on my mind so much lately, and I've been worried about you! Worrying comes so naturally to me grin but still!
I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain though, and hope the dr gave you something for it. It amazes me when drs don't give us anything 'cause of what we already take due to the chronic issues. Like this isn't ADDED pain, requiring ADDED pain meds. huh
Anyway, rest up and get back to us when you're feeling up to it ok? You have no idea how happy finding a post from you has made me LOL!
Remember, take care of YOU first hun! Image ((HUGS)) take care! Image

Image The doc wants me to take tylenol 3 with codine but I am not. don't want to get addicted to it like before.

But I am doing okay but chin really hurts, not sure what they tied me too maybe a tree outside.

Getting lots of rest, and fiance taking care of me really well, and mom sent flowers today.

So I am doing ok so far. Not working for two weeks. Yippee

Petra

PS. how do I send this site to other people if they have problems, can anyone join?

Hi hun! Image
You were addicted to codiene before? I've heard of some that are allergic to it, but none that have been addicted. Isn't there something else you can take for the pain without worrying about addiction?
Sure sounds like you're being spoiled LOL, which I'd say you deserve! Image I'm glad to hear your fiancee is taking good care of you...that's the way it should be LOL! I'm sure you do the same when need be!!
Enjoy the 2wks off hun!

As for inviting others...just copy and paste the addy for the homepage here... http://womenandpain.conforums.com and that should bring them right to the page to register. Let me know if you're having anymore problems though, and I can try to send it to them myself ok? Thanks for thinking of others to invite too! Image

Saga continues, Went and saw a new doctor at mount sinai hospital on Tuesday. I freaked her out with all my health stuff so she decided to do a pap test and physical. Guess what she said. While she was doing my pap test she found foam coming from me. Never heard of that before, had some tests taken and more to do on Monday. Also took blood tests.

Still off of work, having IBS and reflex disease is not helping me either. She is sending me to stomach and bowel specialist but at least this doc didn't insult my size. which has been caused my drugs.

Thats what happening to me, will let you know what happens... Hope all is well for everyone else.

OMG Petra! You're right, the saga does continue! I'm so so sorry hun!
I notice that it's been awhile since this post too, so could you please come back and let us know what happened and how you are now? Of course, I would've wrote this sooner, but have had my own saga going on as I wrote in previous posts.
