question Treatment experiences??
« Thread started on: Oct 21st, 2005, 2:06pm »

Hi all, I was just thinking that it might be a good idea for us to share our experiences with different treatments etc. This way, we can look back and see what others have gone through on their road to getting better. Especially if we're looking at having the same treatment too! Sometimes, the unknown is more scary, then the actual treatment itself!! huh
Do bare in mind though, that everyone IS different, and therefore reacts differently to treatments. But atleast it can give you an idea of how the test/treatment is run, so you know what to expect etc.

Hello,

I had balloon albation done to stop my period. It didn't work, I got really bad bladder infection, yeast infection and now my bladder won't hold and if I laugh or move to fast I embarass myself in public. So I am off work until the new year. So if you are thinking about having this done, make sure the doctor knows what they are doing.

I have a pitubitary gland tumor that gives me lots of extra problems but the doctors say the tumor is fine. Yeah right. I am the queen of periods.

I'm so sorry to hear this hun! Are you ok? What does this dr say about all this? Is he going to do anything to remedy the situation for you? My goodness!
I know all too well how disappointing and upsetting it can be when you try a treatment that you're hoping will help, then it don't!! Especially after the dr tells you it will!
Please know that we're all here for you hun! You know how to reach me if you can't get anyone here, right? I know things have been quite slow around here, so please don't ever hesitate to reach me through email ok?
Again, I'm so sorry hun! Hang in there, and lean on me whenever you need to ok? Hopefully things will pick up around here now that the holidays are over too!

Sorry I haven't been around. I have been too depressed to do much. cry

The balloon thing didn't work and I still have my period and I am still off work and my regular doctor added new drugs, increased drugs, and removed drugs and I am so frustrated about the whole health thing.

My specialist says I am too fat to be taken care off so she is sending me to another doctor to take care of me. I go and see the new doc on Feb 17.

So with my health it sucks. cry

I'm so sorry hun!
I know all too well what it's like to get "sick of these health issues"! I've had over 7yrs of drs BS, and probably will continue to deal with it for the rest of my life Image
Hang in there hun! Together, I'm sure we can get through anything, ok? Just know that here...you're not alone! I'm sure there's more women here that are feeling the way you do right now! I know I've had my share of botched treatments!! Maybe not as far as a surgical event, but the emotional let down and frustration is still the same!
Come by and hang out with us as often as you can ok?We will get passed all this...together!
Know that I'm thinking of you....always! Image ((HUGS)) take care!

Well I was supposed to see the specialist at Mount Sinai hospital on Feb 17, well they called and changed it to feb 28. I am supposed to go back to work on the 20 but I have no job to go back to since the company is closing that part of the branch so now I can't sleep because I am worried about everything.

But my father used to say "keep on trucking" so I do.

I also went to see a chiropractor today and he is very concerned about me and he actually want to try and help me and he thinks he can and he doesn't care if I am "fat". He is surprised that I am actually walking around with all of my stuff.

So that's all new for me for now.

Talk soon...Petra
